Celebrating Love and Life.

As a Civil Celebrant, I offer bespoke, unique services from Funerals, Weddings, Baby Naming and Vow Renewals and much more...

My approach

As a member of the Association of Independent Celebrants and having adopted The Celebrant Accord, I adhere to a strict code of conduct and respect your wishes and beliefs - whatever they may be.

I offer services which are unique to you and your loved one….from religious elements to pagan traditional rituals, whatever you require I am happy to help. If you’re not sure what you would like, I can also work with you to create a service that captures who you are, your love story, your loved ones’ life or wishes for the future. I am here to listen, learn and advise and adapt. I come from a place of empathy, love and laughter as these are all the wonderful woven aspects of life, translating these into written word, providing you with services and ceremonies that tell your story!

Servicing West and South Yorkshire.

I will visit you in your home and am happy to meet all family members who would like to contribute to the service.

If meeting at your home is not an option, I will gladly meet in a coffee shop, nearby!

I will ask lot’s of questions and take notes, this all helps me to get to know you and your loved ones better, enabling me to create a service that is fitting for you and your love story and your loved one’s life. I like to schedule 1-2 hours with you, but if we need more time, that’s ok too.

I will send you a draft copy of the service so that you can amend any details or tweak things according to your preference. I’m thick skinned, so I won’t be offended and would rather it be right - we only have one opportunity for the ceremony, so it needs to be right!

A happy family = a happy Anna!

Meet Anna...

Having lived in Huddersfield for nearly 30 years and spending most of that time as either a Business Trainer in the corporate world, or more latterly as a Baby and Children’s swimming teacher for 12 years, I am very accustomed to standing up in front of a sea of faces, talking.

I’ve also been a keen amateur actress over the years and my own dad was a vicar before he retired too. Although, not religious myself, I am happy to incorporate any religious content into the service, if a family desires this.

I live near a village famous for making the World’s largest pie - Denby Dale. I live with my husband, 2 teen children, 2 dogs and 1 cat! Plus we have a wild hedgehog living in our garden too - I call him Rocky, but that’s a whole other story!

I love nature, films, music, reading, dancing, walking and have even completed the London Marathon for Asthma UK!

Writing is one of my passions and am now starting to write a collection of poems, which can also be used in your services if you so wish.

Life for me is all about love - sounds mushy I know, but it’s my core value, that and kindness, compassion, acceptance and laughter - it’s good to be silly from time to time!

“A breath of fresh air!

Anna has empathy and respect in spades! She excelled leading my mother’s funeral and paid a fitting tribute. From the first meeting with our family she conducted herself admirably. I highly recommend Anna.”

— Mr N. Ellam, West Yorkshire

“When our much loved Mum and Nannan died in March 2022 it was the most heartbreaking time for us all, naturally. When Anna visited us to discuss the funeral, we all immediately took a liking to her. She was warm, kind, caring and she really listened to our tales of family times. The service she delivered was second to none and it was almost as if she knew our mum personally. We couldn’t recommend her highly enough. A wonderful Celebrant.”

— Mrs A. Proud, South Yorkshire
